Slack I know!!

36 +1

I know I have been slack! Promised shots of the Medieval Carnival but Phil has been home because of rain so I have switched off. Absolute bliss!! Feeling recharged and ready to face these last weeks. So here is one photo I have managed to do..another belly shot.

Isn't it cute!! Almost a celebrity belly if it wasn't for all the stretch marks from the first 3 :)

Chicken Pox update
Well apart from a few lasting scabs X is all well again and back at school. So far no sign of it on Roh so I guess we were very lucky and have missed a second bout. This means Mikayla's party can go on this weekend and hopefully Roh's will follow next weekend. Then it is just Mikayla's Baptism on the 16th and all formal events will be over and I can get on with having this baby.

Car
Since Phil has been home we have been doing the legwork (well phone work) to get the loan for our car. HOORAY!! All seems to look positive and we should know by early next week if we have the loan. Then we have to pick a car that fits into our budget. I think we will go with Nagoya Motors in Sydney as they will deliver to us.

We are getting a Delica and I am starting to get excited. This may actual happen.
In the meantime we will service and fix up the other cars. We will sell Daisy, the yellow one and keep Bob, the green one for future trips/dog etc.

So that is it for now. The sun is finally shining and will hopefully stick around for a while.
Off to buy the food and Roh's birthday presents.

4 sleeps till my baby turns 3!!!

Happy Birthday Mikayla!!

Today is M's 8th birthday. Man how time flies. The phone started ringing at 7.15am way before any of the kids were up but hey gotta say hello on a birthday. Unfortunately a school day but none the less a day of fun and attention. First up was a quick call in to Aunty Judy's for her present, (we gave hers to her yesterday since dad would be at work) then off to school for Happy Birthday songs and chocolate crackles to share.

One of the many calls for the day. This time Uncle Greg from Melbourne. What a lucky girl.

Both Nanna and Grandy and Mum and Dad gave M some new clothes for her birthday so we had a bit of a fashion parade tonight to show off the new duds. She looks soo grown up."sigh"

The outfit from Nanna and Grandy.

Top from Mum with pants from Nanna.

After a treat of sushi for dinner M had the ceremonial blowing out of the candles. Nothing like a birthday cake to top off a great day.

And sorry to those who have been waiting for updates. The house has been struck with the pox..chicken pox that is. I discovered them on Xander on Friday so between that and a weary mum I haven't had much time to blog. Just waiting for Roh to get them now. A website I found rated the chances of a sibling contracting them as a 9 out of 10 chance. So we may have to postpone parties again as the second wave erupts. Oh well what can you do??
Pox boy, fortunately or unfortunately he still feels great and is hating being cooped up all day in the house....note so is his mother :)

Sew Cute!

Little Jester.

The Medieval Carnivale is on in Balingup on August 25th and 26th.

www.balingupmedievalcarnivale.com.au

I thought I would dress Roh as a jester so had a go making him a costume this morning. So far just finished the hat and pants but I am so proud of it and I think it is groovy enough for him to wear all the time. Its made out of felted wool that I had left over from my nappy making days. I think I will make a vest to go with it and then add bells to the hat. I 'll post a finished pic when it is all done.
Such a cute model!

Jester becomes renaissance kid.

After playing with the vest I decided that he didn't have to be a jester at all but just a medieval kid. I think he looks sooo trendy. Wore the pants to school to pick up the others and heaps of people commented on them. Oh gloat!!!

This is a close up of a groovy stitch I did around the whole vest to add some detail. I love my sewing machine.A top view of the hat. This was my first attempt at a hat and it was surprisingly easy. Now I can make up a batch for summer.

So all in all a productive day.

Oh and I got my costume ready too. Using the dyed template of my wedding dress with the addition of a vest to cover the fact that it doesn't do up over my big belly :) Pictures of that another day!

Let's get started!

Well since blogs seem to be all the rage I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. Yes mum I know I have always been a sheep :)
Since we are away from family I thought this might be a great way for them to keep in touch with the goings on at the Baudains' ranch.
So where are we..as of tomorrow I officially have 7 weeks to go with this pregnancy though I am quite sure that it will be at least 8.

A self shot of my "bump" not nearly as big as the others but certainly as active.

The house is nearly ready to accommodate the new arrival but there is still some serious cooking to be done.
Rain is keeping Phil home at least one day a week so I am putting him to good use. Today it was cleaning out the unwalk in robe. What a job..glad to say it is clean and organised and we discovered I have a huge stash of material. Will have to get onto converting it into presents and clothes.

The whopper from down under

This weekend we uprooted some of the winter potatoes we were experimenting with growing. Out of the gorgeous dark soil came this whopper weighing in at 516g. This is a pic of it next to a regular sized spud. Oh and they are Royal blue variety my favourite.

The boy with the hat

I think every boy has a photo of him naked with a cowboy hat on. Well today Roh gave me the chance to take such a shot. Not a cowboy hat though, one that Granny brought back from her trip to Argentina.
Can't wait for his 21st to bring that one out.
